On August 26, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the review results for projects in its 2026 centralized application round. Our school was approved for a total of 9 projects, with combined funding of 2.91 million yuan and a project funding rate of 42.9%. The approved projects achieved new breakthroughs in number, type and funding scale, fully reflecting the steady improvement of our school's basic research capacity and research level.
During the 2026 NSFC application season, the school organized carefully and deployed thoroughly, selecting faculty with rich application experience to form an in-house expert panel. It systematically offered young teachers experience-sharing, topic-selection guidance and proposal-quality improvement workshops, and strengthened full-process service support, effectively raising the quality and competitiveness of applications.
In addition, the school is focused on promoting multidisciplinary interdisciplinary integration and industry-university-research collaborative innovation, continuously fostering a strong research atmosphere and strengthening the cultivation of young talent. By regularly hosting high-level academic events, it helps young teachers broaden their academic horizons and exchange ideas, promotes collaborative innovation among research teams, and builds momentum for young teachers' growth and ongoing research breakthroughs, driving the school's overall research strength to a new level. Looking ahead, the school will continue to increase research support and strive to produce more high-quality research results.
